You are going to get married. And you are searching for a suitable partner. Somewhere in between this search, you met a right guy or a right girl. But the parents of your partner started digging out the kundli’s of the future couple. And hey to your surprise you are Mangalik and he/she is not. What the hell?

What is the Mangalik stuff? Why you guys cannot be with each other? Why god why? Now how will you make your parents agree to the wedding?

Well, let’s start to understand what is this new term in your life. And what does it mean?

A non-Mangalik person is someone who has low sexual desires, versus the Manglik person is the one who has higher sexual desires.

Okay, it’s not a children section now. So, how do you recognize if someone is a Manglik.

Easy, In absolute general terms, any LagnaKundli which has Mars(Mangal) in 1, 4 7 8 or 12 house is known as Manglik Kundli.

However, having Mars(Mangal) in these houses doesn’t mean you are Manglik. In addition to this basic rule, there are some more rules which can determine whether a person is Manglik or not. In other terms having Mangal in these houses doesn’t necessarily mean you are Manglik.

A non-Mangalik person is someone who has low sexual desires, versus the Manglik person is the one who has higher sexual desires.

Plain n simple. So what’s the issue. Why a non-Manglik person can not marry a Manglik one.

Easy, In absolute general terms, any LagnaKundli which has Mars(Mangal) in 1, 4 7 8 or 12 house is known as Manglik Kundli.

Well, the reason is simple. Imagine a thousand years ago… why thousand… let’s go back a couple of decades… talking about sex was a taboo. Even today, in a rural area it is considered a taboo. rishi-muni had a big problem. Since they believed that if Manglik did not marry Manglik then his/her desires or lust can not be fulfilled by some non-Manglik person. This will lead to adultery. And for no apparent reason marriages will be destroyed. Also, they believed that to have a successful marriage, the animal within humans should be kept pacified, otherwise it will lead to prostitution.

So instead of making things complicated, they took an easy way out. They said if Manglik marries non-Manglik one of them will die. Thus they added ‘Mrityu Dosha’.

In the end, I want to conclude by saying, being Manglik is not wrong, it is not a sin, it is not a curse. whoever is telling otherwise is either lying or does not possess enough knowledge about the subject. But, trust me on this Manglik and non-Manglik marriages can work, certainly will not be responsible for someone’s death but there are some minor issues those need to be faced to make the marriage work.

And hey, we face so many problems in married life and still make it successful, so one more will not make any difference in the ultimate goal of having a successful marriage.
